Frequently asked

Questions we hear most.

Doesn't strata already cover me?

Strata covers the building. You cover your stuff, your improvements, and your liability.

What's loss assessment?

If strata's policy falls short of a big loss, owners share the gap. Loss assessment pays your share.

Should I get earthquake coverage in BC?

For coastal condos we strongly recommend it. It's an optional coverage we can add on — your strata corporation's policy may carry the deductible buy-back separately, so we'll walk you through what stacks where.

What does "unit improvements" mean?

Renos and upgrades you made — new floors, custom closets, kitchen upgrades — that strata won't replace.

Can I insure a pre-sale?

No. Bravo covers completed, owner-occupied condos only. Rented condos have their own policy.

What if strata raises deductibles?

We offer a deductible-assessment add-on that pays the difference.
